Food is 70% disappointing, 30% good.
70% disappointing.
I find the food is expensive as the black plates are 4.90 for one single slice of sushi. Not even 2 pieces like other outlets? You could buy a full meal rather than one single, small slice.
The tonkatsu ramen is Disappointing, there is just one small slice of meat, and the broth and noodles are not salty. Rather bland, you will get better ramen at coffee shop with more meat than one Single, Small, and Sad Slice of meat.
For the Sushi, the salmon belly tastes kind of fresh, but tastes Mid. Can get same quality from any other jap place.
Slamon with cheese is also just mid.
The Uni dry noodle. What is that. It tastes like very salty oyster. its bad. I dont care if uni is world Class delicacy, the uni to us SUCKS. And you recommend it for 8.90 for limited time menu?!???? AND The portion is SMALLER than the tonkatsu ramen. Its just salty sauce with noodles, no meat for 9 dollars. You can buy meat, throw in a bag of salt and cook indo mee for half that price. NOT RECOMMENDED. You are lucky this is limited time only so you probably will never eat this. Also your whole booth will smell like uni, it smells fishy and salty.
30% good
The beef Udon is good, the broth is quite tasty. Not bad for 6 dollars. Way better than the tonkatsu ramen and the tragedy that is the uni dry noodle.
Recommended. Better than Genki Sushi udon, larger bowl.
The 2 pc red tuna sushi that is 2.30 is quite fresh, and tasty. Recommended.
Staff is quite nice. Atmosphere is okay as seperate booths for 4 people. You get to free refill water yourself.
Large queue and crowd doesnt mean its good. There is a reason why this gets 3.9/5 on Google. If you really really want to go, take queue number an hour before peak hour and eat the udon and tuna sushi.
Still, I dont not recommend, go to Genki Sushi or other jap restaurant due to high costs and mid taste. Unless you love Tuna sushi and Udon, then I rec to eat.
3/10. Food and Value for money
8/10 staff
7/10 atmosphere.
Total 18/30.
0/10 Peak Hour Queue system and wait time
Total 18/40
But the several times that we couldn’t place our order in the system due to overwhelming response can be frustrating… why let customer wait? The system can wait!
Miso soup can be very salty. Be warned.
If other chain come to sg and this doesn’t improve, good luck.
The only downside? Always a looooong queue here! Have to wait for almost an hour if you come on a weekend.
Service is great, 5 stars to the staff.
The menu have Width selection of interesting sushi and bigger potion to justify the cost of each dish. Importantly you still can get ramen as well, suitable for family's with kids
The uni seems to have a weird taste although the signage claim its fresh. Overall the experience still ok but much expensive than I expected, Total damage $80+
Very reasonable priced and the sushi does taste good. Service staff is friendly and helpful. Quite a lot of varieties of sushi to choose from.
Fresh and tasty. Affordable fatty blue fin tuna, though there's a small fish bone inside (mai hiam).
Speed of food ordered from pad is also fast even though crowded.
One thing to make it better is if the queue system can be improved. Missed the queue even though seated at the waiting area because did not realise the number was called, and it's missed within a short buffer time (cos they pushing ppl in fast). No choice but to wait again after slotted back.
Overall dining experience was just ok.
For service-wise, my partner and I were asked how we wanted to sit, side by side which was counter or face to face which was table. We chose side by side and we were brought to our seats. Staff explained to us to order from the tablet provided and wasabi to taken from the conveyor belt. All these which we already knew thanks to sharing from friends. Other than that, there wasn't any other forms of service provided to justify the service charge. Just saying....
For food-wise, there was nothing bad about the food. Food is fresh, fried food are cooked upon order and ramens were served piping hot. One downside is the sushi rice which kept breaking up. I think for sushiro's standard this is not acceptable.
Price-wise is definitely slightly higher compared to similar establishments.
There were cups and water dispenser for self-service. Same goes for payment on a self-service kiosk.
3 stars because of the taste of food.
